Alexander Baldreich - born on 11.09.1990 in Krems an der Donau (Austria), educated bilingually since birth.

​

Since 2004 he is actively interested in the film world. The first amateur short films followed. In 2009, after more than two years of work in addition to his education at the Private Bilingual grammar School of the “Comenius“ Association in Vienna, his 90-minute amateur film "Deadly Friendships" was completed, which was funded by the program "Cash for Culture".

​

In 2012 he graduated in directing and production at the Film School Zlín in the Czech Republic. He was taught by producer Viktor Mayer and director Roman Vávra.

​

Since 2012 he started further artistic activities; Photography and acting. He joined Constantin Entertainment in 2013 and worked as a production intern for "K11 Kommissare im Einsatz" and " Schicksale- und plötzlich ist alles anders ". In the Czech Republic he also worked as a lighting technician for "Znamení koně 2", a TV series.

Since 2014 he works again on his own projects in Austria. In 2015, he started collaborating with the Viennese rapper "Atsche" on a corporate project - Fuel Vision.

​

In 2017 and 2018 he realized his short films: "Each his own day of death", "No Smoking" and "John Parker and the Madman". Which were funded with the support of the province of Lower Austria and Carinthia.

​

In autumn 2017 he started his master studies at the FH St. Pölten in the field of Film, TV and Media Creation and Distribution, which he completed in July 2018.

​

In the summer of 2019, he was able to realize two new short films. The first short film "Black" was funded by the Province of Lower Austria, the second short film "Wildfremd" was funded by the Province of Upper Austria and the Linz Culture Funding.

​

In the fall of 2019, he realized a short film, also funded by the province of Lower Austria called "A sentimental journey".

​

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, he worked on his first independent western film with sci-fi elements, which is scheduled to premiere in 2024 and was funded by the state of Lower Austria. The title of the project is “Stolen Time”.

 

In the springtime of 2022 he made the mystery thriller “Stay Inside” and in the summer of 2023 his eighth short film project called "Art of Eternity".

Numerous new projects are already being planned for the next years.
